“We live in a society that is entirely based on science”

Presented with the “President’s Medal” at an event in London, Professor Brian Cox (Manchester University) gave a speech about the importance and necessity of scientific education for our (future) society.

“All the great, important decisions that our democracy will be forced to take in the next decades and onwards in the 21st century are based on science. They are based on the scientific method. They are based on an understanding what reason and reaching conclusions based on evidence is.”
